Do you love to get creative and create wow-pieces that will blow everybody’s mind? Then this workshop is for you! I have put together these workshops to teach you how to do what I do! In this step by step workshop, you will learn everything necessary to get you starting on your brushlettering or calligraphy journey. Or both!
Where to start? What to avoid? What are mistakes I learned from? I will teach you everything in this workshop so that you don’t have to look for the information yourself, and instead use that valuable time to get creative and better at your craft. I’ve already been doing this craft for years, so rest assured that I know what information is correct and what practices work best! My work is proof of that. So when you’re ready like I am, let’s share our passion for Brushlettering together in this class!
THE BRUSHLETTERING WORKSHOP FOR BEGINNERS
In this workshop you will learn :
– The basics of Brushlettering : Upstrokes, Downstrokes and more Practical exercises
– How to use a Brush pen : A large one and small one
– How to use Guidelines & Guidesheets
– How to write each Letter from the Alphabet
– How to combine Letters into Words
– How to write Capital Letters
– How to make a Composition on your paper
This covers everything you need to know in order to start creating beautiful work! How magnificent!
But because I know a lot of you want to take your Brushlettering to take the next level, we also have:
THE ADVANCED BRUSHLETTERING WORKSHOP
In this Workshop you will learn :
– How to make any word stand out on your paper
– How to use white space to your advantage
– The power of using different pens for your work
– How to add flourishes to your letters and words
– How to add flourishes to your composition
– How to add shadows and details
– How to blend your letters : Watercolor Technique
– How to incorporate illustration into your Brushlettering
– How to make a Masterpiece of a Birthday Card
After both these workshops, you will have all the knowledge to become a pro at Brushlettering! Of course, this doesn’t happen on its own, you will have to keep practicing these techniques and exercises when you get home. Only you can do do that work for you!
THE CALLIGRAPHY WORKSHOP FOR BEGINNERS
Have you always wanted to learn Calligraphy? If the answer was no, then you wouldn’t have come this far! So it’s probably a YES! I can ALREADY feel your excitement through the screen! How great that we found each other! It is finally time for you to start learning calligraphy!
This Calligraphy Workshop will teach you:
– The Basics of Calligraphy : Calligraphy drills
– The Technique behind the different Calligraphy pens
– How to do Calligraphy in the right body position
– How to use your Materials in the correct way
– How to use guides for Calligraphy
– How to write small letters
– How to write Capital letters
– How to combine your Letters
– How to write Words
During the workshop I give you tips and tricks to make the whole process easier, and I can see where you’re struggling. I also answer all your questions and I challenge you to make a gorgeous piece at the end of each workshop! After this workshop you will have all the confidence to start doing calligraphy! Now we can write each other beautiful letters in calligraphy! I also give this workshop in private, so if you want to learn it on your pace and in the comfort of your home this is the way to do it! After every workshop you will have to practice practice practice to get your writing as smooth and flawless as ever! Hope to see you in class soon!
